Andrea Vázquez
Andrea Vázquez (M.Ed.) has 19 years of experience in migrant education and currently or has worked with State MEPs in Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin to assist in the development of their CNA, SDP, and/or MEP evaluations. In this capacity, she has facilitated CNA and SDP meetings, assisted states with data collection and analysis, and prepared CNA, SDP, and state MEP evaluation reports that were approved by OME. After having served as the Assistant Director for the Center for Migrant Education for 13 years, Andrea joined META helping State MEPs by developing evaluation forms and materials, project management toolkits, and methods for data collection and analysis. She routinely writes CNA and SDP reports, annual performance, and evaluation reports. As lead project evaluator for the Preschool Initiative CIG, Andrea is experienced in designing data collection forms, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing annual performance reports. Andrea is knowledgeable about materials design and development; providing training and technical assistance in many areas of migrant education; and designing and delivering services to migrant and binational migratory children and youth including serving as a consultant on the Binational Migrant Teacher Exchange Program and records exchange between the U.S. and Mexico.
