Guillermo Durón
Guillermo Durón (Ph.D.) has worked with META Associates for the past 16 years evaluating Title I, Migrant Education, Indian Education, Alaskan Native, and higher education educator preparation projects. Previously, he served as the Technical Assistance Coordinator for the Department of Bilingual/ESOL Education of the Denver Public Schools and the Assistant Director of Human Resources, preparing district, state, and federal reports and U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR) compliance and court-ordered desegregation plans. As the National Origin Equity Coordinator for the Mountain and Northern Plains States Desegregation Assistance Center, Dr. Durón designed programs and training to assist school districts in eliminating bias from materials, classroom practices, and assessments. With a federally-funded Technical Assistance Center, he provided Title I evaluation and technical assistance to state departments of education. He also was responsible for all aspects of design, pilot testing, and user-support of a Title I evaluation aggregation system. Dr. Durón taught graduate and undergraduate courses in research methodology, served as a dissertation advisor in statistics, and provided assistance to other faculty in statistical analysis.
