Evaluation

META has evaluated a range of programs and services on the local, state, regional, and national level. These include Migrant Consortium Incentive Grants for 36 states; Title IB Even Start, Title IC State Migrant Education, and Title ID Neglected or Delinquent programs; Title III and Bilingual Education; GEAR UP; Teacher Incentive Funds; National Science Foundation Grants; Indian Education Programs; Native Alaskan Programs; 21st Century Community Learning Centers; Hispanic-Serving Institutions (Higher Education), Technology in Education, Rural Education grants; and Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) Programs.

Technical Writing

Technical writing ranges from developing strategic plans, to helping clients design a comprehensive needs assessment, to preparing handbooks and guides that explain specific programs. META consultants have worked with clients to outline and develop successful proposals in response to diverse funding sources, prepared technical reports, and conducted data analysis and summarized data into reports. We have developed curriculum and instructional materials, conducted curriculum alignments, written implementation guides for learning strategies, and prepared literature reviews.

Staff Professional Learning & Development

META’s highly experienced consultants are available to provide technical assistance and training at all levels. We regularly consult with state and local staff on topics including the education and evaluation of diverse learners (migrant, bilingual, neglected or delinquent, and students with special needs). Our meetings and workshops are interactive and reflect the latest research, incorporating evidence-based strategies. A few of the topics: conducting a local comprehensive needs assessment, meeting the unique needs of migrant students, using data for decision making, and continuous improvement.

Materials Development

META consultants work with programs to create materials specifically designed to meet the needs of the diverse programs we work with. We have developed curriculum and instructional materials, conducted curriculum alignments, written implementation guides for learning strategies, and prepared literature reviews. All of our materials clearly articulate the learning goals and objectives of our clients. We ensure they are engaging, relevant, and up-to-date with content that is highly vetted, accurate, objective, and reliable.

Program Development

META consultants have years of experience in program development. This process can involve evaluating an organization or systems’ capacity to deliver their services, goals, and objectives. META consultants work with clients to help them develop methods to determine their needs and create implementation or service delivery models to effectively reach their goals. META assists with organizing program elements such as budgets, program resources, grant writing, organizing staff time and more.

Meeting Faciliation and Conference Planning

Working closely with clients to achieve their goals for meetings and conferences, META assists with theme development, “branding,” planning, presentations, and meeting evaluation. We have arranged site logistics, contracted presenters, prepared meeting presentation shells and materials, arranged travel plans, developed systems for participant reimbursement, and dispersed honoraria and cost reimbursement to presenters and participants.
